Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Adidas have teamed up to award new uniforms to several high school programs nationwide. South Oak Cliff in the Dallas ISD was one of them for the 2026 season.
Southlake Carroll High School was chosen in 2025.
Mahomes, who went to high school in East Texas, and Adidas have made the South Oak Cliff Bears the first Dallas ISD campus to be sponsored by them through a five-year partnership. That partnership includes custom Patrick Mahomes football gear and a financial contribution to SOC athletics.
South Oak Cliff was one of 28 schools nationwide chosen to receive the all-white Mahomes “Gladiator” uniforms for the 2026 football season. Only four of those were in Texas.
According to Dallas ISD, Head Football Coach and Assistant Athletic Coordinator Jason Todd was approached by Adidas because Mahomes wanted to expand his partnership with high school programs. South Oak Cliff was selected because of its number-one ranking in the state and five consecutive state championship game appearances.
According to a press release on the Carroll ISD website, Southlake Carroll High School was chosen in the 2025 season. Adidas posted about previous schools who were chosen as well.
While the new gear is exclusively for football, Adidas also donated money to support the school’s broader athletics program.
Mahomes knows about winning football. He has three Super Bowl wins and just tied Tom Brady for the fewest games to 100 regular-season wins (131) in NFL history.
